How To Get More Referrals

Twitter can be great if used correctly!

At first glance, twitter may not seem like a great source to get referrals. It's time consuming to follow people in hopes that they follow you in return. However after coming across a website called Flash Tweet, it immediately seemed like a great way to get more referrals.

You must have an account already at Twitter to do this. Once you do go to Flash Tweet and login using your twitter account info.

Once you have signed in, you need to click on Mass Follow. In the box that says Follow Friends From, you should type in somebody that has a lot of followers. Ex: Twitter, shoemoney, Ryan Seacrest, CNN News. Or you can go to Twitterholic to see the top 100 ranked users on Twitter.

Now you just click a page, click Check All and Follow. You can do this 100 at a time. The max you can follow is 2000. Once you get 2,000 Followers however, the limit is removed and you can follow an unlimited amount.

Once you've followed a good amount, you can go back to Twitter, and tweet (where it says "What are you doing?"). You could type in "Check out my blog to learn how to get referrals: http://howtogetmorereferrals.blogspot.com", or just type in anything else that you would like. I prefer typing in my referral link plus the link to my blog explaining what the site is that was placed in the message.

This is a great method. Stick with it.

There is a chance that your account can get suspended. But no worries, just create another and you're ready to go again.

Make A Video!

A great way to get referrals is making a Video. This is a great way to quickly show what the site you are using is all about in just a few minutes. Make sure you make it entertaining and if you have a microphone, USE IT! It's not a great idea to make a video showing you typing in Notepad. That is very dull, and most people don't want to watch you Backspace your typos away every 2 seconds.

The most obvious website to post your video is YouTube. Although this site gets many views and has the highest chance people will be searching for the type of video you have on YouTube, there will most likely be others doing the same thing that you are doing. This makes it almost impossible to get the thousands of views that you first hoped for. But don't let this drag you down. You should still post your video here because you will get some views out of it. You may even get lucky and get a whole bunch.

Mask Your Referral Link

It is a great idea to mask your referral link. This shortens your link making it easier to share, and most people won't even realize it's a referral link. Although sometimes if you don't tell people it is a referral link, they get upset and accuse you of being sneaky (personal experience).

I use two different sites to mask my referral links.
The first is http://tiny.cc

Once you get to the site, copy and paste your referral link into the box. If you like, you can type in your name, or another name that has to do with the company you're trying to get referrals for.

Ex: http://www.neobux.com/?r=Smudly [ Smudly ]

Once you click Tiny it, it will become:
http://tiny.cc/smudly

This is an actual link that I use, so click on it if you want to see how this redirects to your referral link.

The next website I use is called http://dot.tk

I've used this to for the link to this blog actually.
I typed in the actual name: http://howtogetmorereferrals.blogspot.com
and made it into: http://howtogetreferrals.tk/

This also works for referral links.

It's basically the same as the previous. Type in your referral link or website and click next. Then just type the new name for your link. Simple as that.

Another Way To Get Easy Refs!

There is a website called GetRef that allows its users to join others programs as a referral, and earning credits which are used to get others to join your programs. It's a great program and everyone wins.

There is another called SimpleRefs. It is the same concept. Join another persons program they use, and you earn credits to get referrals yourself.

Both of these options are free to sign-up, and all the programs that you join javascript:void(0)to earn credits cost you absolutely nothing.

Here is a website called Traffic Hoopla that allows you to post all your referral IDs from different programs you have joined, and lets your referrals click on those links. It's another great way to get more referrals:

Traffic Exchanging

Traffic Exchanging is a great way to get referrals. There are many offers known as Traffic Exchange websites, that allow its users to do this. Many of them have you look at another persons website, for 20 seconds or so, and you are credited. You can then use this credit to post your own website, blog, or other source for others to see. This is easy and free. Here are a couple websites that I use myself.

Easy Hits 4 U Has a 1:1 Surf ratio. So you surf 1 website for 20 seconds, and can then use that credit for 1 person to surf your website. It's really easy actually. There is also an option to convert 1 credit into 25 Banner Impressions. You can post a banner attached with a referral link, and it will randomly pop up 25 different times. So you have a potential of 25 users seeing and clicking on it, for just 20 seconds of surfing. I use Banner Impressions and just normal Credits.

This one is By Far the best:

Although I don't like Traffic-Splash as much as the first, this is still another great way to get easy referrals.
